I am a blogger and a photographer who loves to travel around the world. I love sharing my experiences through my blog. I am always ready to embrace new and unique experiences. I enjoy traveling and have traveled many places from all around the world.
Seriously, one of the main things I enjoy about traveling is the sense of possibility an international departures board inspires. I could spend all day watching people come and go, wondering where they are coming from, what their story is, and what their final destination might be.
And it’s a good thing that I like airports because I fly an average of 50,000 miles a year nowadays. That’s more than 2 times around the globe, and the bulk of that is in an international destination.I loved the journey and seeing new places, and most especially – the airport.
I never set out to be a writer, but am beyond thrilled to have made a career of blogging and writing about the travel industry. My favorite part of my day is literally interacting with people here on the blog, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share my passion with others.
I believe that anyone can elevate their travel experience by leveraging their resources. I’m never going to try and sell the idea that travel is free because it certainly isn’t, but there are so many opportunities to enjoy truly amazing experiences while spending significantly less than you might think.
What separates this website from other travel blogs? Unlike other travel websites, you won’t find sponsored content or paid trips here. Every place, restaurant, or attractions has been personally visited by me (or one of my guest columnists) and we pay our own way. We sleep in dorms and budget hotels, wait hours for buses, try those roadside street stalls, and test travel passes to see if they really do save money. We do it just like you would – because, like you, we’re real travelers looking to see the world and help others do the same.
Unlike other websites, we only feature companies we use – not ones that have paid us for advertising. Every company recommended is here because they are useful and used in our day-to-day travels.
Since then, I’ve traveled to over 51 countries and territories, flown hundreds of thousands of miles, slept in all sorts of places, tried the weird food (including fried maggots), made lifelong friends, learned multiple languages, and learned that you don’t need to be rich to travel.
It’s my mission now to help traveler like YOU to realize YOUR travel dreams the same way those five backpackers helped me realize mine.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to travel cheaper, turn your dream trip into a reality, save money, or travel the world, you are in the right place! This website will give you tested tips, advice, and suggestions so you can see more for less and make your dream trip a reality.
